If you still want some local marching band action this weekend but can’t make it to the Bosse/Mater Dei Band Bash, or if one contest just isn’t enough – The Castle Marching Knights have you covered. The 38th Annual Castle Marching Band Invitational is also taking place this Saturday, September 14th with the first performance starting at 4:45 PM. With the Bosse/Mater Dei contest in the morning and Castle in the evening you can get a ENTIRE DAY full of marching band goodness!
This contest is held at the John Lidy Field on the Castle High School campus. The John Lidy field has a unique seating area that offers a more up close and personal experience that you just can’t get elsewhere. Featuring 13 bands in competition, the nationally recognized host band of the Castle Marching Knights in exhibition, and the bonus of the always highly entertaining Racer Band from Murray State University, this is one contest you do NOT want to miss! I’m also being told that this year we will all get a “special combined performance” after Murray State performs, so be sure to stick around for that as well!
The Castle Invitational will use the standard ISSMA classifications of A, B, C, & D based on school size.
Be sure to check out www.DRUMSontheOHIO.com for contest results and more after the show!
DRUMS on the OHIO invites all of our fans to come out Saturday to support these amazing local marching bands in action!
