FOR DAY OF SHOW
The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps will be wrapping up their rehearsal around 5pm — students are welcome to come (with their ticket) and watch them put the finishing touches on their show before they are in uniform later that evening. Once the rehearsal is finished, we will quickly clear the stadium and allow then students with a ticket in to start getting ready for the clinic that will start at 5:35 pm.
Students should arrive to REITZ BOWL (Westside of Evansville) between 5:00-5:30 pm on Wednesday. The gates will officially open at 5:30 pm. Students should come to a main gate with their equipment AND TICKET to gain entry in to the stadium. Students will need: your instrument, a wire music stand (if you have one), and some clips (or rubber bands) for your music. If you have already downloaded your part (available on the Drums On The Ohio website) then bring that along with you. We will have extra copies available when you check-in if you still need a part. Come on down to field level (50 yd line) and staff will have shirts ready to pass out for those of you who pre-registered.
We will break up in to small sections and quickly work out our parts (have any questions about fingerings ready to go!). Once sectionals have completed we will rehearse all together.
Once 7pm hits — it’s showtime! Have your parents ready to roll with the cameras!
After finishing, students will have a chance to put your instruments away and store them on the side 2 front sideline. You can retrieve them during intermission or at the end of the show…whichever works better for you.
Again, very excited for Wednesday! Dress comfortably (…it will be warm!)
