Spend the day with members of the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps learning about leadership, musicianship, percussion/battery & front ensemble. WHAT TO BRING: Water jug, hat, sunscreen, sensible shoes.

LUNCH IS INCLUDED WITH EVENT REGISTRATION BEFORE JUNE 1. If registering after June 1, student MUST bring their own lunch.

Students of ALL skill levels are invited to participate. Areas of focus will navigate the entire range of skills, from fundamental to highly advanced.

- Drum Majors. Blue Stars drum majors will be working with potential or current drum majors on effective directing practices, basic directing skills, do’s and don’ts.

ABOUT THE BLUE STARS DRUM & BUGLE CORPS

Corps Director: Russ Gavin
Founded in 1964, Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps was the silver medalist at the 1972 Drum Corps International World Championship, finishing just over a half a point away from winning the inaugural event. Competing as an Open Class unit for much of the late 1980s, ’90s and early ’00s, the corps won the World Championship title in its class in 1989, 1993, 2001 and 2003. Blue Stars began competing in the World Class ranks again in 2006.
