Maria Arzuagas from Edwardsville, IL will be performing with the Music City Color Guard this Summer. Color guard is her life’s passion, starting as a Freshman at Edwardsville High School in the Marching Band in 2014, and participating in Winter Guard all four years of High School.

She also marched The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Macy’s Great American Marching Band in 2016 and 2017. Her first year with Drum Corps was 2018 with Music City and she will march with Music City again this season. She was a member of Avidity Independent Winter Guard this past winter season and has received many medals and awards.

Music City begins their 2019 tour in Evansville, IN at DRUMS on the OHIO. See Maria and Music City perform their production, “Of Mice and Music.” We wish them the very best this season.

Special thanks to Maria’s Grandmother, Mary Jane Hessel, for sharing Maria’s story. Mary says that her favorite part of Maria’s color guard “career” is that she gets to tag along. Together, they have toured many cities and met many incredible people. She is so proud of Maria’s dedication and hard work.
